Nitrogen Loss from Cotton (Gossyium spp.) Plants Grown on Rainfed Vertisols

چکیده
Low recovery efficiency of nitrogen (N) is mainly attributed to the various losses from soil after application. N loss plants could be substantial probably contributing low and inefficient use by cotton cultivars belonging different species. However, there limited information on efficiency, especially for transgenic Bt hybrids grown in India with surplus fertilization. In an on-going field experiment, we estimated uptake determined a rainfed Vertisol. A difference at peak boll formation final harvest was considered as volatilized plant. The hybrid, ‘Ajeet-155 BGII’, had highest followed Upland cultivar ‘Suraj’ Asiatic ‘Phule Dhanwantary’. least BGII’ hybrid (27.2%) that also plant (32.3-63.9 kg N/ha). Proportion fertilizer-N lost >18.0% compared 3.6% Dhanwantary’ 10.5% Suraj. Among species, (G. arboreum) higher lower than hirsutum) (Suraj) (Ajeet- 155 BGII). Growing would have potential reduce environmental damage contribute cleaner cotton-based production system. Taking into account used one important criteria improving calculate accurate balance sheet.

Contrasted responses of Botrytis cinerea isolates developing on tomato plants grown under different nitrogen nutrition regimes
The nutritional status of a plant is known to influence its susceptibility to pathogens. In the case of Botrytis cinerea the role of nitrogen fertilization of various host plants on disease development appears to be variable. This study was carried out to characterize possible variability associated with strains and inoculum density of B. cinerea in its ability to infect leaf-pruning wounds and...
متن کاملEffect of Homoeopathic drugs on Cotton plants
Detailed study to investigate the effects of Homoeopathic drugs on growth of cotton plants was initiated at Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, (ICAR), Mumbai. In the present paper promising results of preliminary experiments have been discussed. The results revealed that electrically neutral and pure distilled water develops internal electrical charges as soon as few drops of ...
